Spacemaker, AI software for urban development, is acquired by Autodesk for $240M

Autodesk bought Spacemaker, a Norwegian AI-powered urban planning startup. Spacemaker aims to develop sustainable infrastructure to help companies grow while reducing pollution. It’s a UN millennium goal.

The $240 million acquisition was all-cash. European firms Atomico and Northzone are two of Spacemaker’s VC backers. They led the company’s $25 million Series A round in 2019.
