Autodesk paid $240M to acquire Spacemaker, an artificial intelligence platform for city planning
Autodesk bought Spacemaker, a Norwegian AI-powered urban planning startup. Spacemaker aims to develop sustainable infrastructure to help companies grow while reducing pollution. It’s a UN millennium goal.
The $240 million acquisition was all-cash. European firms Atomico and Northzone are two of Spacemaker’s VC backers. They led the company’s $25 million Series A round in 2019.
