PreAct, a Company That Provides Automakers With Near-Field Sensors, has Raised $14 Million
PreAct, based in Portland, Oregon, raised $14 million for near-field sensor R&D. These sensors can detect and react to objects near a vehicle. In 2018, the startup switched to auto after years of shielding military vehicles from missiles. The company claims “significant growth over the past year.” CEO Paul Drysch said the company will use the funds for agriculture, healthcare, and robotics. The company has 30 employees and 20 openings.
