Marcy Venture Partners, co-founded by Jay-Z, Jay Brown, and Larry Marcus in 2018, has invested in The Finnish Long Drink. This ready-to-drink brand, launched in 2018, aims to introduce Finland’s national drink to the US market.
Gin and grapefruit soda make up The Finnish Long Drink. It’s already gaining popularity in the US, with over one million nine-liter cases sold in 2022. The Brand Champions 2023 report named The Finnish Long Drink the fastest-growing spirit brand.
Jay-Z joins a group of investors including actor Miles Teller, professional golfers Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas, and Norwegian DJ Kygo. Sakari Manninen, Mikael Taipale, Ere Manner, and American entrepreneur Evan Burns co-founded The Finnish Long Drink.
Larry Marcus, managing director of Marcy Venture Partners, expressed his enthusiasm for the investment, stating, “It was love at first sip. Just have a taste and it’s clear why this national treasure of Finland is now storming North America.”

The Finnish Long Drink is available in 43 US states and has recently expanded to Western Canada. The Finnish Long Drink CEO Evan Burns highlighted the partnership with Marcy Venture Partners as a key step in growing distribution and marketing efforts.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. In 2021 the company raised US$25 million to expand distribution and production. This year, the brand added a peach flavor to its range, further expanding its offerings. Sources and related content
