A regulatory report says that MacKenzie Scott, who used to be married to Jeff Bezos, sold about a quarter of her Amazon stock last year.
Bloomberg News said that Scott sold about 65.3 million shares, which were worth about $10.4 billion at the stock’s closing price on Friday.
After the sales, she now owns about 1.9% of the tech giant as of Friday.
Scott, who is 52 years old, has sold about half of her company shares in the last five years.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index says that most of her $37.6 billion net worth still comes from Amazon.
After her divorce from founder Jeff Bezos in 2019, the author and activist became the richest woman in the world.
As part of the deal, she got 4% of all of Amazon’s shares.
At that time, they were worth $36 billion.

Forbes said she was the fourth richest woman in the United States last year. But she doesn’t live a showy life like her ex, who is often seen at high-profile fashion shows, hanging out with famous people in places, and cruising around in his superyacht.

Reports say she gave away more than $2 billion in the last year alone.

It was said that she got divorced for the second time in January 2023, after being married for one year to Dan Jewett, a chemistry teacher at the private school where her kids go.
Court papers show that Jewett is not asking Scott for marital support.
