With the help of $35 Million, Cardiac Dimensions has Developed a Device to Treat a Condition Linked to Heart Failure
Cardiac Dimensions, a medical device company in Kirkland, Washington, got $35 million to help test and sell its mitral valve regurgitation treatment system. Mitral valve regurgitation is the backflow of blood through the mitral valve during left ventricular contraction. This condition is associated with an enlarged heart and congestive heart failure. The Carillon Mitral Contour System is meant to tighten the leaking valve in a way that doesn’t hurt the patient too much.
