Snoop Dogg has confirmed that he would be performing at the Hollywood Bowl this summer with special guests for a show titled Snoop Dogg & Friends: 30th Anniversary of Doggystyle & More, presented by Dr. Dre.
This June, the rapper will be joined by special guests to mark the 30th anniversary of his self-titled debut studio album, and the ReCollective Orchestra, led by Derrick Hodge, will provide musical support.
Doggystyle was entirely produced by Dr. Dre and released in November 1993 by Death Row Records and Interscope. The album, which featured features from Nate Dogg, Warren G, The D.O.C., Tha Dogg Pound, and others, sold over 800,000 copies in its first week and debuted at number one. One of the best hip-hop albums ever, with the second song “Gin and Juice” earning Snoop a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1995.
