Bosch, a leading manufacturer of premium electric bicycle drivetrains, has unveiled several new products designed to enhance further the performance and capabilities of e-bikes, particularly electric mountain bikes (eMTBs).
The company has introduced the “next evolutionary step” of its Performance Line CX drive unit, a flagship motor system for e-bikes. The new version features advanced sensor technology that precisely measures pedal input, incline angles, and vibrations, allowing for more accurate and responsive power delivery.
With increased torque, power, and support, the new Performance Line CX delivers a balanced combination of performance and efficiency. Additionally, Bosch has incorporated a quieter gearbox and a decoupling feature for the external drivetrain to reduce noise levels.

To complement the new drive unit, Bosch has also launched the Purion 400 display, specifically designed for eMTBs with a focus on durability and protection. The display features a 1.6-inch screen and is intended to be tucked behind the handlebars for added safety.
For those seeking maximum range, Bosch has introduced the PowerTube 800, its largest electric bicycle battery to date. With the option of dual-battery setup, e-bikes equipped with PowerTube 800s can offer a substantial 1,600 Wh of capacity.
While premium e-bikes have traditionally favored smaller battery capacities, the PowerTube 800 brings Bosch on par with other leading brands in terms of range. The company has also announced the PowerTube 600 for those who require a slightly smaller battery, and the PowerMore 250 as an auxiliary pack for occasional range needs.
