Google and Pune-Based SuperGaming Collaborate to Bring ‘SuperPlatform’

Supergaming and google cloud to work together

SuperGaming, a game developer and publisher based in Pune, India, just announced a partnership with Google to make its “best-in-class” live-ops engine, SuperPlatform, available to game developers all over the world.

SuperPlatform is a proprietary gaming engine with “battle-tested cloud infrastructure” that can help game developers make better games. Millions of people have already played MaskGun and PAC-MAN, both of which were made possible by the platform.

This is the first time Google Cloud works with a game studio to give its developers access to a cloud service. Google Cloud will make sure that game developers can turn on and manage all of SuperPlatform’s features.

In-game matchmaking, live operations, player progression and data, analytics, server scaling, merchandising, and more are some of these. Developers can also add the platform to games made in Unity, Unreal Engine, PlayCanvas, and Cocos Creator.

SuperGaming is working with Google Cloud

In terms of how the two companies will work together, SuperGaming will offer SuperPlatform as Software as a Service (SaaS). Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) will be able to sell the platform on Google Cloud. Google Cloud’s scalability and flexibility will make it possible for more developers to use the platform for their scalability needs.

Roby John, the CEO, and founder of SuperGaming made a statement as part of the news. Roby also said, “The SuperPlatform is what makes our games work.” He went on to say, “It was made by game developers for game developers, and after years of tweaking and supporting games like Pac-Man, we thought it was time to share it with more game developers.”

In the end, Roby said, “Google Cloud was an obvious choice as our partner to bring this to market because of its reach, technical expertise, and best-in-class infrastructure.”

The game studio showed how much it trusted SuperPlatform by talking about the upcoming projects that will use the live-ops engine. The company is using the platform to make the much-anticipated battle royale game Indus, which is set in an Indo-futuristic world.

It will also be used in Tower Conquest Metaverse Edition, which is the next game from the same developer. Supergaming has already collaborated with Google to ensure that both of these games are compatible with Google Cloud.

Bikram Singh Bedi, who is in charge of Google Cloud India, said, “Gaming is a big focus for Google Cloud.” We’ve put more money into this area around the world, and we’re happy with how the market is responding.

Bedi added, “Progress like the SuperPlatform is a welcome addition to an ecosystem that is always changing.” Also, he said, “With Google Cloud’s infrastructure that enables developers to build at scale and SuperGaming’s pedigree in gaming, we can really drive impact and innovation and see more games come out of India”
