In China, the SSC SC-01 electric car is officially shown off. It is a speed electric vehicle that is light and quick. It has 425 horsepower and can go from 0 to 100 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds. Xiaomi-backed Gongjianpai Auto Technology made it. Let’s learn more about it.
This brand is called XiaoPaoChe (小跑轒), which means “Small Sports Car” in English. It is a brand of electric sports cars that came out in September 2022. A car-tuning firm founded it. Since 2018, its founder, Feng Xiaotong, has run China Car Custom on YouTube.Xiaomi put tens of millions of yuan into this business. Liu Dezheng, who helped start Xiaomi, is also one of the leaders of this business.
About SSC SC-01
The SSC is a small roadster with two doors that look like any other racing car. Sharp headlights, sloped C-pillars, and circular taillights. With 4105/1830/1160 mm of length, width, and height, and a wheelbase of 2500 mm, it’s not very big. The SC-01 also has a space frame made of three-dimensional steel tubes. The car only weighs 1370 kg at the curb. Because it is so light, the SC-01 can go from 0 to 100 km/h. It has two electric motors that make 425 hp.
The front axle of the SC-01 has six-piston brake calipers, and the back axle has four-piston brakes. They come with 350-mm disc brakes. SSC says their brakes are better than those on the Porsche 911 GT3. Alu is used to make the steering knuckles. You can also find horizontal pushrod shock dampers on the SC-01. They give you great control when you pair them with Michelin Pilot Sport CUP2 245/40 ZR18 tires.
The SC-01’s battery is ternary (NMC) and can hold 60 kWh. SSC says that it has a range of 520 km. In 25 minutes, it can be charged from 30% to 80%. The SC-01 has 160 kW (218 hp) and 280 Nm of power from its front and back electric motors.

SC-01 interior
Inside the SSC SC-01 are large LCD gauges and a stylish steering wheel with three spokes and a flat bottom. This roadster doesn’t have an armrest in the center tube. It has a power window switch and a rotary gear selection instead. Some of the SC-01’s controls, like the air conditioning, front wipers, V2L system, and more, are on the ceiling. There is no center screen on the SC-01. It does, however, have race bucket seats.
The SSC SC-01 is an interesting car all around. No price has been disclosed. But it was already estimated to cost 300,000 yuan ($41,300 USD). The SC-01 just finished its tests in the hot Flaming Mountains in China. Next year, the car will be on sale. We’ll keep an eye on it, so stay tuned!
