The air carrier will get a board seat and Ed Bastian (Delta CEO) said the deal could be expanded to as much as $200 million.

The plan is to incorporate a Joby-operated administrative system into Delta’s client confronting channels to give short-range airport vehicle, which would save a lot of travelers time and interruption, Bastian said.

They plan to launch the air taxi services in 2024. Bastian said they have a couple years in terms of figuring out how to start the journey.

Both organizations declined to mention the cost of the service or how they will split the revenue, although a speculative trip to New York’s JFK airport could be reduced ‘from an hour or more’ to ‘less than 10 minutes’ by air. Which sounds Awesome!

According to Bastian, Delta Airlines do not have plans operating Joby aircraft.
