Elon Musk Makes Surprise Appearance at Dave Chappelle Stand-Up Show in California Gets Booed and Says ‘I’m Rich, B—!’
Musk unexpectedly showed up Sunday at a stand-up performance with Dave Chappelle in San Francisco.
Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX who recently acquired Twitter, was loudly booed by a Californian crowd when Chappelle introduced him by saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the richest man in the world.”
The billionaire walked on stage at the Chase Center arena in San Francisco wearing a Twitter T-shirt. Amid the chorus of boos (and cheers) from the audience, Chappelle said, “It sounds like some of them people you fired are in the audience.”
During Musk’s brief appearance on stage with Chappelle, the comedian also prompted Musk to yell out, “I’m rich, bitch!”, a reference to a Rick James sketch from “Chappelle’s Show.”
Musk calculated that only 10% of the audience had booed him. He tweeted, “Technically, it was 90% cheers & 10% boos (except during quiet periods), but, still, that’s a lot of boos, which is a first for me in real life (frequent on Twitter). It’s almost as if I’ve offended SF’s unhinged leftists … but nahhh.”
